Rugby Central

FAQ

How much do I have to pay Rugby Central?

Whether you are a player looking for a club or a Club looking for players the only payment you need to make to RC is the subscription fee we charge when using our site.  RC has no involvement in anyway in relation to contracts or agreements between Clubs and Players.

How do I know a club that is asking for information or money is legitimate?

You must be very careful about providing any personal information such as copies of your passport, birth certificate, etc to anyone that is requesting it via any website - not just Rugby Central.  A rugby club should not be requesting personal information such as copies of passports or birth certificates the first time they contact you.

When dealing with rugby clubs connected to Rugby Central never send any money if asked to do so.

What can I get from this site as a player?

As a player you will have the ability to place your profile on our site and also search advertisements for players-wanted placed by the clubs in our club database. Clubs in all countries are constantly on the lookout for players to fill positions they may be lacking experience in or generally just to strengthen their teams. Our intention at RugbyCentral is to continue building our database of players and clubs which means more opportunities and choice for both.

As a player can I search for other players’ on your site?

No, only members registered as a ‘Club’ can search our player database. A player can only add their profile and search advertisements placed by clubs. Conversely clubs cannot view other clubs’ advertisements.

What can I get from this site as a club?

Clubs get to place an advertisement on our site for players that you need to strengthen your club. This potentially will be visible to a worldwide rugby audience of players of which there are millions. You will also be able to search our database of players that have registered with us.

Who can view my details?

A unique function of our website gives you the option to hide your identifying details from all other users if you wish. You can hide your name, address, email address, current club and profile until you decide to ‘accept an invitation’ from a club.  Clubs may be interested in you based on your country of residence and playing level or they may just want to see what you have to offer. This works as follows:

*Player opts to hide identifying information during registration.
*Club is interested in player after viewing information that is not hidden (such as physical stats, playing level and country of residence) and clicks the ‘Invite Player’ button in players’ profile. This button is only displayed on a players profile if they have chosen to hide their information.
*Player receives an invitation from the club by email (Club still doesn’t know the players name, email address, etc) Player can decide to accept or decline the clubs’ invitation.
*If the player accepts the invitation all hidden details are sent to the club so that they can make contact or the player may contact the club directly them self. If the player declines the invitation an email is sent to the club stating that the player does not wish to take up their offer.
*You can change this option later if you no longer want your details to be hidden by choosing the ‘unhide my details’ option on the profile page.

Who can use this website?

Any rugby player or rugby club anywhere in the world. It doesn’t matter what level you have played or what division your club is in.
